About The Position

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is an industry leader in HVAC and plumbing construction. Formerly Anderson Mechanical Services, Inc. and Inspiration Plumbing Company, VMG brings together the experience and craftsmanship of two respected organizations. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead HVAC ductwork installations throughout the DMV area. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, knows how to motivate a crew, and can keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Requirements

At least 5 years of sheet metal or ductwork installation experience.
Demonstrated experience supervising and leading field crews.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and ductwork installation.
The ability to plan work, solve problems, and make critical field decisions.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Close attention to quality, safety, and project details.
OSHA 10 certification.
A valid driver's license.
A high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Technical school training or a completed apprenticeship is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee commercial HVAC ductwork installations from daily planning through completion.
Assign work, set expectations, and keep the crew productive and focused.
Plan labor, materials, equipment, and tools for upcoming work.
Monitor workmanship, safety, schedules, and project requirements.
Read plans, identify field challenges, and make sound on-site decisions.
Communicate clearly with crew members, clients, and project leadership.
Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and VMG safety policies.
Travel to project sites throughout the DMV area.
