Requirements

  • Experience in either sheet metal fabrication.
  • Proven ability to locate and read information to understand and read blueprints, drawings and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to use various inspection gauges to verify measurements and tolerances.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality work product.
  • Basic mechanical skills and aptitude – ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Desire to develop and further improve technical and mechanical skills.
  • Excellent Attendance
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with sheet metal forming primarily from aluminum.
  • Prior experience using and operating press brake equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate sheet metal components using an array of equipment including but not limited to CNC brake press, shrink/stretching equipment, basic roll forming equipment, waterjet, etc. in accordance with provided travelers, blueprints, and tooling travelers.
  • Use and select required hand tools, machinery, measuring instruments, and abrasives in accordance with detailed work instructions and blueprints.
  • Operate various brakes, presses, and sheet metal and assembly hand tools in accordance with work instructions and specifications.
  • Safely operate saws (band and hem) as well as the shear to cut materials.
  • Complete all paperwork documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Observe/listen to machine for malfunction concerns and bring concerns forward immediately.
  • Immediately report any part out of dimensional tolerance or machine not performing properly or an expected and follow all production procedures for non-conforming product.
  • Follow all safety procedures and specification documentation to ensure product conformance and workplace safety.
