About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop Mechanic to join the commercial construction team. The position fabricates, assembles, and prepares sheet metal components for commercial construction projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safety. The mechanic works with shop drawings, measurements, fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools, and collaborates with project and field teams to meet production schedules.

Requirements

• Five years of commercial construction or HVAC sheet experience.
• Ability to read measurements and basic shop drawings.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift and handle sheet metal and materials.

Nice To Haves

• Previous sheet metal fabrication or mechanical shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components for commercial construction projects.
• Measure, cut, bend, drill, and assemble sheet metal according to drawings and specifications.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
• Work closely with project and field teams to meet production schedules.
