About The Position

Syndeo is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Assembler for a local aircraft component manufacturing company. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits. The role involves assembling parts using blueprints and written instructions, measuring, grinding, deburring, and finishing parts to meet requirements. The assembler will also inspect components, document issues, and collaborate with Quality on nonconforming parts. Operation of various tools and equipment is required, along with accurate record-keeping in the production system. Support for testing and final inspection of finished products, as well as communication with management regarding workload and progress, are key aspects of the role. The position is on the 1st Shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with pay based on experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Mechanical and technical skills, problem solving, organization, analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a demanding fast-paced environment where priorities and instruction can shift daily.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous 5 years of assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts using blueprints and written instructions.
  • Measure, grind, deburr, and finish parts to meet requirements.
  • Inspect components, document issues, and work with Quality on nonconforming parts.
  • Operates tools and equipment such as countersinking tools, c-squeezes, rivet guns, arbor press, grinder, belt sander, drill press, magnifying glass, epoxy machine, ovens, sonic machine, test rigs, fixtures, gauges, and hydraulic press.
  • Record job information accurately in the production system.
  • Support testing and final inspection of finished products.
  • Keeps manager informed on workload, work status, problems, and progress.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
