About The Position

KaylaTek is seeking a SharePoint Power Platform Developer and Administrator to join their growing team. This role will provide support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR. The position is located at Joint Base Andrews, MD, and requires 100% on-site work with ad-hoc telework. The environment is fast-paced and challenging, supporting critical AFNCR operations. The primary support areas include IT Operations and Maintenance, Plans, Projects, and Engineering. The role involves administration, development, troubleshooting, and operational support for Microsoft SharePoint Online (SPO), Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, and Power Platform solutions within enterprise and government environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years of specialized experience in applications programming and database management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, business/finance, or related field (or equivalent experience substitutions).
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform tools.
  • Proficiency in modern web development languages and frameworks (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, JSON, Bootstrap, jQuery etc.).
  • Experience with Active Directory, permissions management, and enterprise-level system administration.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Full-time onsite availability at Joint Base Andrews with occasional telework.
  • Requires a current 8140 IAT Level II (Intermediate or Advanced) certificate (CompTIA Security+).
  • Active DOD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support, administration, and troubleshooting for SharePoint Online (SPO) and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.
  • Develop and maintain custom SharePoint and Power Platform solutions using technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, jQuery, JSON, Bootstrap, React JS, and VS Code.
  • Design, develop, and manage Power Platform tools including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI dashboards/reporting solutions.
  • Resolve Tier 1-3 incidents, service requests, and operational issues in accordance with SLA and ITIL processes.
  • Administer SharePoint site collections including site creation, configuration, permissions, governance, content management, and decommissioning activities.
  • Manage SharePoint permissions, Active Directory-integrated access controls, and user/group memberships across multiple environments and high-level administrative functions across multiple environments.
  • Design, modify and enhance SharePoint pages, layouts, branding, and user interfaces to support customer and mission requirements.
  • Monitor SharePoint environment health, performance, usage, and availability to ensure operational stability.
  • Analyze business applications and technical requirements to design and implement effective software solutions.
  • Test, debug, refine, and document software solutions, improving efficiency and functionality.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to help meet development timelines.
  • Support enterprise collaboration initiatives, modernization efforts, and process improvement activities across AFNCR ITS supported organizations.
  • Utilize BMC Helix, Remedy, or ServiceNow ticketing systems to document, track, update, and resolve incidents, change requests, and service requests.
  • Participate in Change Management processes, including implementation support, outage coordination, and documentation of system changes.
  • Develop technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, user guides, and training materials for customers and support personnel.
  • Conduct customer engagement sessions to gather business and technical requirements for SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
  • Coordinate with application teams, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and compliant system operations.
  • Maintain compliance with DoD, Air Force, AFNCR ITS, and cybersecurity policies, including security best practices and operational procedures.
  • Support after-hours maintenance, troubleshooting, and outage response activities as required.
