The SharePoint Engineer will serve as the primary administrator and technical resource for SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and related Microsoft 365 services. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting SharePoint sites, document management processes, permissions, governance standards, and workflows. The engineer will also build and maintain Power Automate flows and Power Apps solutions to streamline business processes and reduce manual work. A key aspect of this role is partnering with business stakeholders to identify and deliver productivity improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled use cases within the Microsoft ecosystem, while promoting the effective use of Microsoft 365 tools. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and automation-related issues. The role also includes acting as a trusted advisor to business teams, helping them rethink and improve processes using Microsoft tools and automation, identifying opportunities to leverage existing licensing before introducing new tools, and designing scalable, reusable automation patterns. Support for AI and automation capabilities within Microsoft 365, including helping teams understand practical use cases and drive efficiency gains, is also expected. Developing lightweight governance and standards for automation, workflow design, and solution lifecycle management is part of the responsibilities. The engineer will monitor Microsoft's product roadmap, service updates, licensing changes, and platform enhancements, assessing the impact of upcoming changes and communicating recommendations. Guidance on best practices across the Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform, will be provided. The role also encompasses administering and maintaining SolarWinds monitoring solutions, configuring and optimizing monitoring across various infrastructure components, and developing dashboards, alerts, and reporting for performance metrics. Analyzing trends and recommending improvements to performance and reliability are also key duties. Furthermore, the engineer will manage and support a Nutanix-based virtual infrastructure and Windows server environment, performing system administration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management, while ensuring system reliability, availability, and performance. Participation in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution is required. Managing enterprise backup solutions, ensuring successful backup and recovery processes, performing validation, and conducting disaster recovery testing are also part of the role. Finally, the engineer will configure and maintain enterprise firewall platforms, implement security policies, monitor security events, and collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities.
