About The Position

This role involves developing and designing highly customized applications using SharePoint Online technologies. The developer will be responsible for the full application development lifecycle, including planning, architecture, construction, implementation, packaging, and deployment. They will work with SharePoint Online application services, Office 365 tools, and create custom applications using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx). The position requires developing solutions to urgent business problems, leveraging existing tools and services, and building custom applications when necessary. The developer will also enhance, test, and support SharePoint sites, workflows, and interfaces, and provide technical documentation and training. Responsibilities include working with end-users to develop and modify SharePoint sites, capturing requirements, developing site content frameworks, and training users. The role also involves creating and supporting interfaces for SharePoint sites that provide information from various applications, recommending innovations, and maintaining application security, SDLC, and change management best practices.

Requirements

5 to 9 years relevant work experience developing and designing highly customized applications using SharePoint online technologies.
Strong hands on experience with SharePoint Application development life cycle planning, architecture, construction, implementation, packaging, and deployment.
Experience with SharePoint Online applications services framework including implementation, configuration, and usage of search, managed metadata, user profile services and Office 365 tools.
Hands on experience of using tools including but not limited to SharePoint Designer, Workflow Manager, InfoPath Forms services, Microsoft Flow and Power Automate, App Model, Visual Studio and SharePoint Reporting Services, Sharegate and Metalogix.
Experience with Web part application and configuration, InfoPath Designer, SharePoint Designer (2013+ preferred), or online (O365) workflow development using Microsoft Flow and Power Automate.

Nice To Haves

Experience in building usable and immersive/responsive user interface using HTML5, CSS NodeJS, NPM, JavaScript, JQuery and TypeScript is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, integrate and lead SharePoint development using SharePoint Online, O365 including, Microsoft Flow and Power Automate tools.
Use SharePoint Framework SPFx to create custom applications using SharePoint.
Develop solutions to urgent business problems, leveraging existing tools and services wherever possible and otherwise building them as custom applications.
Develops, enhances, tests and supports SharePoint sites, workflows and interfaces that support business units.
Support the development of technical solution documentation and training.
Investigates and documents present procedures as liaison with user departments.
Works with end users to develop and modify SharePoint sites. Captures requirements, develops site content framework and SharePoint web parts.
Trains end users and updates SharePoint tools and objects in response to evolving user needs.
Able to work independently to identify and execute maintenance and upgrade activities for assigned SharePoint sites.
Works on creating new interface for and support current Interface for SharePoint sites that provides information from various applications, (create or leverage APIs) wherever possible.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhances and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
Perform the above duties while maintaining application security, SDLC, and change management best practices.
