About The Position

Trinity Consultants is seeking a Shared Services Manager to join their western US based Water and Ecology program. The Shared Services Manager will lead a cross-functional department and provide business unit leadership across operations. This role is responsible for overseeing department staff development and strategic direction, while fostering alignment with the company's mission, vision, and values. The position supports multiple programs and cross-functional teams, including accounting/project controls, data analytics, fleet management and logistics, safety, contracts, and quality control. The Shared Services Manager will also collaborate with corporate and divisional leadership to implement strategic and operational plans and ensure company performance goals are achieved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a supervisory and leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in business cross-functional team management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics effectively.
  • Experience with project delivery practices and quality control systems.
  • General experience with accounting, contracts, data analytics, and logistics.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across offices, departments, and business units.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership by mentoring shared services staff, managing Business Unit (BU) performance to annual plan, addressing conflicts, and maintaining active communication with employees and corporate leadership.
  • Lead monthly Shared Services Department meetings and engage feedback from all BU Departments.
  • Engage and maintain a good relationship with Trinity Financial, Systems, Safety and IT Leaders.
  • Monitor resources, approve new hires, and proactively manage resources leveling.
  • Guide business unit operations by establishing and maintaining KPIs, monitoring Business Unit performance, and implementing operational elements of the tactical and strategic plan.
  • Manage department and staffing needs, working with HR and leadership on recruiting, utilization, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee training programs to ensure staff have safety and technical skills and tools to support project teams.
  • Partner with quality leaders to establish and implement QA/QC processes and ensure technical products meet company standards.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor spending, and identify cost-saving measures while meeting department and company financial goals.
  • Learn from subject matter experts on team about our ERP system, accounting process and controls, data management and reporting, project/field activities, and project management. Align and unify these elements to common goals, improved efficiency, and better insight to operate the business.
  • Demonstrate self-management by modeling professionalism, supporting company policies, promoting collaboration, and proactively addressing operational issues.
  • Provide leadership through coaching a variety of program and group leads and foster employee engagement.
  • Monitor budget projections, discipline direction, and risk management.
  • Promote a collaborative, service-oriented workplace culture.
  • Ensure professional behavior, compliance with policies, and proactive communication.
