Shaft Press Technician - Fourth Shift
About The Position
This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating shaft press machines to press shafts, mandrels, and tubes in and out of rotors. The position requires maintaining and regulating oven temperatures and times according to set procedures and performing daily/weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency. The job also includes performing other duties as designated by the supervisor within the same salary grade and below. Requirements
- Vocational or High school graduate plus a formal training program or equivalent on-the-job training required to perform work and acquire knowledge of shaft pressing methods and procedures.
- Six thousand (6,000) hours experience required to acquire operating skills and knowledge of pressing techniques.
- Must be a sole US citizen.
Responsibilities
- Set-up, adjust and operate shaft press machines.
- Press shafts, mandrels, and tubes in/out of rotor.
- Maintain and regulate oven temperatures and times to follow set procedures.
- Perform daily/weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency.
- Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor in the same salary grade and below.
