About The Position
Join ETTA's Shabbos Staff at one of their Adult Residential Group Homes for Jewish Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. This role involves assisting residents in observing Shabbos traditions, including making kiddush and hamotzi, walking to shul, and singing songs. ETTA is a respected non-profit in the Jewish Community of Los Angeles, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1993.
Requirements
- Must be well-versed in Jewish culture and traditions
- Live Scan (DOJ / FBI) background check required
Nice To Haves
- Some professional or personal experience knowing or supporting individuals with special needs is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist Jewish adults with making kiddush and hamotzi
- Accompany residents walking to shul
- Lead and participate in singing songs
- Facilitate participation in other Shabbos traditions
