About The Position

The Scholarship Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Emmaus Road Scholarship program, as it relates to, accounting, compliance, communication, and outreach. This position plays an essential role in managing financial integrity, administering scholarship awards, and representing the organization to donors, parishes, and schools. The successful candidate will possess strong accounting and organizational skills, a passion for Catholic education, and the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in both written and public settings.

  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Must have good record-keeping skills
  • Must have computer skills necessary to learn and navigate FACTS software
  • Must have good quantitative analytical skills
  • Must have ability to present oneself professionally
  • Must have ability to prioritize and be flexible
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • In lieu of a degree, two to four years of experience may suffice.
  • Experience with scholarship management a plus.
  • Prior work experience in an administrative position in Our Catholic Schools is also a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the full scholarship cycle — application, review, award, and reporting — in compliance with Ohio SGO regulations and OCS guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate financial and accounting records related to donations, scholarship funds, and disbursements.
  • Work collaboratively with Catholic schools, principals, and families to ensure accurate and timely scholarship distribution.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to parish groups, donors, and community organizations to promote the SGO.
  • Support donor stewardship efforts through communications, reports, and donor recognition consistent with Catholic values of gratitude and transparency.
  • Assist with annual audits, compliance reviews, and financial reconciliations.
  • Uphold and model Catholic values in all interactions, serving as a positive ambassador for the mission of Catholic education in the Diocese of Columbus.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Operations and/or Superintendent.
