About The Position

The Vice President of Recruitment leads efforts to attract, engage, and retain diverse and qualified students within the Student Government Association. This position is responsible for cultivating leadership development, increasing awareness of SGA opportunities, and ensuring broad and inclusive representation across campus. The VP of Recruitment works to strengthen the organization by building a sustainable pipeline of student leaders and fostering meaningful participation in student governance.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University
  • Must maintain and uphold a 2.5 GPA semesterly
  • Must be in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and enforce the provisions of the Constitution
  • Assist in making immediate necessary decisions concerning the Student Government
  • Assist in resolving any disputes over the interpretation of the Constitution, with advice from the SGA Advisor
  • Attend all meetings of the Student Government Association
  • Assist in approving stipends for the elected SGA members
  • Have the right to call meetings to order between the Executive Board and Committee chairs as necessary.
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans for SGA membership and leadership positions.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts during involvement fairs, campus events, and new student orientations.
  • Promote awareness of SGA roles, elections, and appointment opportunities.
  • Oversee application and interview processes for appointed positions.
  • Design and facilitate onboarding and leadership development programs for new members.
  • Track participation and retention trends to improve recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to promote recruitment campaigns.
  • Ensure recruitment efforts prioritize inclusion and broad student representation
