About The Position

The Vice President of Mission & Belonging advances initiatives that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging within the campus community in line with the University Mission. This role advocates for underrepresented student populations, promotes inclusive policies and programming, and supports a campus culture grounded in respect and equity. The VP ensures that the Student Government reflects and serves the full diversity of the student body. The SGA Vice President of Student Experience is responsible for: Uphold and enforce the provisions of the Constitution Assist in making immediate necessary decisions concerning the Student Government Assist in resolving any disputes over the interpretation of the Constitution, with advice from the SGA Advisor Attend all meetings of the Student Government Association Assist in approving stipends for the elected SGA members Have the right to call meetings to order between the Executive Board and Committee chairs as necessary.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University
• Must maintain and uphold a 2.5 GPA semesterly
• Must be in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University

Responsibilities

• Advocate for underrepresented and marginalized student communities.

• Assess campus climate and recommend inclusive policy initiatives.
• Support accessibility and inclusive practices across Student Government Association and Campus.
• Create and monitor SGA initiatives that align with the University Mission
