About The Position

The Vice President of Athletic Affairs fosters school spirit and strengthens the connection between students and campus athletics. This role represents the student body in matters related to athletic programming, supports student-athlete advocacy, and promotes inclusive engagement at athletic events. The VP works to enhance the overall athletic experience and cultivate campus pride. The SGA Vice President of Athletic Affairs is responsible for: Uphold and enforce the provisions of the Constitution Assist in making immediate necessary decisions concerning the Student Government Assist in resolving any disputes over the interpretation of the Constitution, with advice from the SGA Advisor Attend all meetings of the Student Government Association Assist in approving stipends for the elected SGA members Have the right to call meetings to order between the Executive Board and Committee chairs as necessary.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University
  • Must maintain and uphold a 2.5 GPA semesterly
  • Must be in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between the Student Government Association and the Athletic Department.
  • Promote school spirit and student attendance at athletic events.
  • Support student-athlete advocacy initiatives.
  • Coordinate spirit events, student sections, and athletic engagement campaigns.
  • Gather student feedback regarding athletic facilities and programming.
