About The Position
The Cocoon is hiring a Sexual Violence Advocate. The Sexual Violence Advocate has a focus on working with survivors who have been victimized by sexual violence, including sexual assault, sex trafficking, sexual harassment and adults sexually abused as children. This includes providing advocacy, safety planning and case management from an empowerment model for sexual violence survivors in shelter and in community-based settings.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or 2 years related experience
- Ability to work from an empowerment model
- Advocacy and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience serving victims of sexual violence
- Valid driver's license and vehicle

Responsibilities
- Providing advocacy, safety planning and case management from an empowerment model for sexual violence survivors in shelter and in community-based settings.
- Rotating on-call during business hours (Mon-Fri. 8 am to 4 pm) and providing assistance/coverage to other staff as needed.
- Providing after-hours and weekend on-call as the agency’s needs arise.
