About The Position

This position is for a Sewing Operator on the LION team. The role is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, are "artsy and crafty," or gamers. The company emphasizes a sense of purpose and fulfillment in its work. No prior experience is required as training will be provided.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Must be able to read and comprehend English language instructions
Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work well with a team
Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed.
Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
May be required to operate traditional office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones if needed.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years industrial sewing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines.
Prepare machines by changing needles and thread, oiling, changing bobbins, and securing attachments.
Sew gear according to job specifications (job cards).
Mount sewing machine attachments such as needles, threads, pattern plates, or cutting blades.
Adjust machines according to job specifications.
Meet delivery deadlines by collaborating with the team to ensure products are made correctly, with good quality, and meet production goals.
Understand quality requirements and their impact on the position, including on-time delivery, material tracking, and meeting customer requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the sewing area.
Demonstrate productivity that drives towards decreased lead time.
Work well with other production associates.
Follow instructions consistently with minimum supervision.
Read job cards and follow sewing standards.
Collaborate with supervisors and all other departments in the plant.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow company rules and regulations.
Ability to multi-task.
