About The Position

Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced. This role involves performing visual inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards, including seam integrity, stitch quality, correct measurements, and fabric/leather condition. The position is located in a furniture manufacturing plant and requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Manufacturing Experience
• Must be able to read a ruler.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have strong English language skills, including: Reading, Comprehending, Speaking, Writing, Communication
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
• Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in furniture manufacturing
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure: ½ “ seams, Stitches are straight, Ensure there are no skipped stiches, Ensure piece is sewn to specifications, Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather, Measure Welt for correct length using a ruler
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
