About The Position

This is a hands-on, full-time position with a local Public Service District. You'll help maintain the community's sewer system by inspecting equipment, performing repairs, and responding to maintenance needs to keep everything operating safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Dependable, hardworking individual with mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to perform physical labor and respond to emergency situations
• Class II Sewer License required (or the ability to maintain it if currently licensed)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain sewer treatment plants, lift stations, grinder pits, and vacuum systems
• Perform general maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Lay pipe and repair sewer leaks
• Mow grass, weed eat, cut brush, and help maintain buildings and grounds
• Clean and maintain your assigned work truck
• Assist the water department when needed
• Participate in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies
