Sewer I Job Summary: This position is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines used in the manufacture of filtration products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prefer 1 year of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read English
  • Must be able to utilize and read measurement devices
  • Basic mathematics
  • Ability to interpret production drawings and production bill of materials
  • Good hand and eye coordination
  • Flexibility to be able to work in other sewing processes
  • Ability to use computer

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain sewing equipment and related parts in accordance with operating standards.
  • Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output while following quality guidelines.
  • Read and interpret work orders and adjust machines and materials to match, including selecting fabric, thread, and needles, mounting necessary attachments, and double-checking settings before start of producing.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of the product in accordance with quality standards.
  • Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make adjustments to the machine as needed to prevent quality issues.
  • Record all information into the production system accurately once the product count is complete. This includes the number of pieces completed during each work order during the shift.
  • Troubleshoot the machine and schedule maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations as well as Menardi safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with ISO processes and procedures to maintain certification.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
