About The Position

This role is responsible for applying ID Tags and Emblems to garments according to specific instructions, including dwell time, placement, and stitch count. The operator will also cut garments and hem them to the required length. A key part of the job is ensuring the correct SKU and quantity of garments are picked as per the pick ticket. Personal Protective Equipment is mandatory in this area. The position also requires performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor or team leader and working overtime as necessary. Employees are expected to actively participate in plant-wide safety activities.

Requirements

Read and write English.

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Possess the ability to talk, hear, see, and distinguish between colors.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs constantly.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
Ability to push up to 30 lbs frequently.
Ability to push up to 40 lbs occasionally.
Ability to utilize teamwork to accomplish tasks involving heavier weights.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time while operating equipment.
Ability to walk frequently.
Ability to stand constantly to perform all functions related to Sew/Seal and Cutting.
Ability to sit occasionally while performing hemming functions.
Ability to frequently bend, squat, and reach overhead.
Ability to occasionally kneel.
Ability to constantly grasp.
Ability to use leg and foot to operate foot pedal actuated machines regularly.
Ability to stoop and/or bend to place garments on conveyor and push loaded carts and hampers regularly.
