Requirements

Must have or be willing to obtain a valid lift truck license or complete lift truck certification.
Pays attention to details.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, and stoop.
Occasionally required to kneel.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout a 8-12 hour shift.
Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.

Responsibilities

Operate sewing machine and knife, ensuring correct sewing.
Run carpet in J-boxes, ensuring straight running.
Monitor J-boxes to ensure proper carpet positioning into the accumulator.
Identify and re-sew torn leaders or seams to prevent tear outs.
Inspect carpet as it enters the machine to identify defects and alert supervisors.
Maintain full J-boxes and accumulator at all times.
Attend job-related training as required.
Follow all established standard operating procedures.
Perform general housekeeping duties.
Perform other tasks assigned by management.
