About The Position

Our site in Chaska is seeking a Setup Technician V to join our team. As a Setup Technician V, you will support the safe and efficient operation of our blow molding equipment by performing semi routine setups, adjustments, and equipment checks. You’ll apply acquired manufacturing skills and follow established procedures to ensure production up time and product quality. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic math and computer/data entry skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to follow established procedures to complete assigned tasks
  • Experience working with powered hand tools and measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, simple blueprints, and production instructions
  • Strong problem-solving ability with growing judgment in semi routine operations solving ability with growing judgment in semi routine
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal instruction on routine tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to collaborate with team members

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience with blow molding equipment setup and troubleshooting preferred
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, 6S, waste elimination)

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure blow molding machine components according to work orders, ensuring proper alignment of tooling
  • Conduct trial runs, adjust machine settings, and support smooth startup after setup
  • Operate and monitor drum molding equipment and make routine adjustments based on observed conditions
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues of moderate scope using established procedures; escalate complex issues as needed
  • Replenish blow mold machine resins and insert cooling fixtures to maintain product dimensions
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machine components
  • Collaborate with maintenance or support teams to address repairs or upgrades requiring additional expertise
  • Issue materials, update and track work orders in SAP or other ERP systems throughout production
  • Verify product dimensions and quality through Camline and measurement tools, escalating any nonconformance.
  • Complete required paperwork (production reports, rack tickets, labels, rework sheets, etc.) accurately and on time.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including 6S and Kaizen activities, to help eliminate waste
  • Follow all required safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment
