About The Position

This role is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The position involves programming, processing, and adjusting parts, as well as performing tooling changes and minor maintenance. The Setup Tech CNC plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring that products meet stringent quality and safety regulations, with the potential for significant impact on vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Pass Basic Skills (Mechanical) - Form CBS-M Testing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 / Regulatory Requirements.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Analytical / Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Understanding of Quality Systems (IATF, ISO, etc.) - Design / Management.
  • Blueprint Reading.
  • Proficiency in measuring via calipers and scales.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tooling changeovers with a clear understanding and knowledge of safety and quality systems.
  • Program and process new and current parts, making necessary adjustments.
  • Safely and efficiently operate production equipment for which the associate has been qualified.
  • Conduct and promote Safety Lock Out Tag Out procedures and perform duties in a safe working manner.
  • Perform set-up and adjustments to CNC equipment.
  • Execute tooling changes, 5S initiatives, and inspections.
  • Perform minor preventative machine and tool maintenance.
  • Operate production equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, execute, and communicate escalation procedures.
