About The Position

The Energy Procurement organization manages electric and gas procurement to ensure reliable supply (e.g. meet the gas and electric needs of our customers 24 hours a day), reduces customer costs and price risk, minimizes shareholder risk, and supports environmentally preferred resources. Settlements Information and Market Implementation (SIMI) is a team within Energy Policy Procurement (EPP) that is responsible for managing implementation of market initiatives and energy settlement systems and information. Two critical components of the settlements process include the timely submittal of accurate Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) to the California ISO (CAISO) and ensuring all critical settlement systems are properly maintained. Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) are the end result of a complex series of application processes and data flows, which are utilized by both the CAISO to produce invoices and settlements and by PG&E (and other utilities and energy providers) to reconcile their records with CAISO results. This position will coordinate meter data operations and managing settlement systems performance and operation within the Market Data Ops & Reporting team of Settlement Information and Market Implementation team. This position will work closely with partner organizations within PG&E, as well as the CAISO.
