The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, system sustainment, System Security Engineering (SSE), integration and system level testing, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level integration, verification, validation and sustainment. As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in department goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with the Performance Development process
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of effectively managing a team over a wide geographical area
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system
  • Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc)
  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
  • Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies
  • Applicable Master’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers
  • Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team
  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition
  • Support department and directorate level initiatives
  • Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Oversight of personnel issue resolution
  • Timecard approvals
  • Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors
  • Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time.
