About The Position

The Set-up Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining insert folding equipment, primarily GUK-Vijuk, MBO, and Pratham folders. The role also involves operating and maintaining other machines such as tabbers, a Piggyback insert marrying machine, a stitcher, and a Vijuk serialization printer. The technician will oversee multiple machines, address quality and production issues, and ensure correct product sizes using rulers. This role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational and mechanical skills, and the ability to perform all essential job functions.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of related experience with any of the above-mentioned machines is helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and work instructions.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Ability to maintain good attendance.
• Good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all departments.
• Ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to do a lot of bending and reaching.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be on their feet, walking/moving/lifting throughout long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D is appreciated but not required.
• Able to read, write and speak English is a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain insert folding equipment (Primary folders are GUK-Vijuk / MBO / Pratham).
• Operate other machines including tabbers, Piggyback insert marrying machine, stitcher and Vijuk serialization printer.
• Oversee multiple machines and address any issues that affect quality or production.
• Proper use of rulers in order to ensure correct product sizes.
• Perform all essential functions of this job.
• Interface with all departments.
