About The Position

The Set UP Operator PB is responsible for preparing production jobs and equipment for operation. This includes installing tooling and material, setting approved process parameters, programming automation equipment and conveyors, and ensuring overall job readiness and robust setups. The operator obtains first-piece approval from the quality department and may perform first-time setups and develop robust processes for new jobs with assistance from a process engineer. Setup work must be documented and performed using approved scientific methods. The role also involves using time effectively, continuously improving setups, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly workplace, properly maintaining equipment, following company policies and procedures, and performing other duties as assigned. The position is full-time and located at Osborn Richmond in Richmond, Indiana.

Requirements

Working knowledge of production equipment and process setup requirements.
Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane, power tools, and a computer if required.
Strong reasoning ability and ability to analyze problems.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Self-starter.
Excellent attendance.
Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
Ability to perform essential job responsibilities satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation available for individuals with disabilities.
