In this position you will lead systems integration for all Vehicle Hardware Engineering (VHE) functions and represent VHE with Program, Attribute, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other organizational interface.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering required.
  • 5+ years experience in Integration or Functional team.
  • Proven technical depth and ability to make decisions and trade-offs.
  • Ability to build strong effective relationships with cross-functional teams (Program, Studio, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Adept at developing and delivering compelling presentations to all audiences, fostering productive relationships and contributing to strategic discussions.
  • Proven ability to confidently and effectively present and engage with senior leadership.
  • Outstanding organizational and delegation skills with the proper follow up.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with demonstrated ability to deliver results.
  • High integrity with effective coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Availability to travel globally as requires, including extensive on-site launch support.
  • Strong fundamentals and working knowledge of GPDS processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated Production Launch experience.
  • Strong fundamentals and knowledge of Cost Setting Process and Studio deliverable.
  • Experience with Electrification and EV commodities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead target setting process to align all VHE functions with Program Management for Program Start. Foster systems efficiency and support benchmarking / content alignment efforts.
  • Lead VHE teams through successful Engineering, Financial, and Launch Milestone delivery.
  • Advocate for the functional organizations to ensure Program recognition of implications from assumptions changes.
  • Lead balanced VHE target delivery for Cost, Investment, ED&T, Quality, Weight, Labor and support tradeoff proposals with Program Management, Vehicle Attribute, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Champion trade-off decisions for system resolution of cross functional issues within VHE and coordinate with Features and Software Integration Manager / Vehicle Engineering Manager on vehicles level issues.
  • Reconcile assumptions changes and implications to program timing / delivery.
  • Co-Lead with Studio Design Technical Operations Manager to develop feasibility and theme progression through K-loop process, while supporting UPVx progression to FDJ
  • Interface with VHE functional leadership to keep teams aware of status, provide look ahead priorities, and escalate when help needed.
  • Represent and present work of the team in both functional and program reviews.
  • Lead VHE teams through TPV, DCV prototype builds, and DV testing to Final Engineering Confirmation Sign Off.
  • Lead Launch Activities as the SPOC for VHE interface and on-site functional leadership.
