About The Position

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking SES Warehouse Programmer to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, configuring, and preparing a wide range of electronic security network equipment prior to shipment to our field operations teams for project installation. This role plays an important part in ensuring equipment is accurately set up, tested, and deployment-ready, helping support efficient installation processes and minimizing delays or technical issues in the field. Requirements

  • Developing exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
  • Knowledge of electronic network equipment, device configuration, and pre-deployment setup
  • Ability to program and configure hardware in accordance with project requirements and technical specifications
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, connectivity, and device communication
  • Experience working with firmware, software loads, and system updates on electronic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve configuration or programming issues
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when preparing equipment for shipment and installation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, project scopes, and configuration instructions
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple devices, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of programmed equipment and completed work
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with project management and warehouse teams
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Commitment to quality, consistency, and meeting project timelines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing and device connectivity, required
  • Ability to learn company systems, programming procedures, and equipment preparation standards
  • Willingness to complete on-the-job training related to warehouse programming, equipment setup, and quality control

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics, information technology, networking, computer systems, or a related field preferred
  • Technical training in electronic equipment, device configuration, networking, or systems installation preferred
  • Experience working with electronic network equipment, hardware configuration, or related technology preferred
  • Training or experience in reading technical documentation, wiring diagrams, or configuration instructions preferred
  • Familiarity with software, firmware updates, and device setup processes preferred
  • Ongoing development of technical knowledge related to electronic network equipment and installation support expected

Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, and prepare a variety of electronic network equipment prior to shipment
  • Load required software, firmware, and device configurations according to project specifications
  • Verify equipment settings, network parameters, and system functionality before release
  • Perform quality checks and testing to confirm equipment is installation-ready
  • Label, document, and organize programmed equipment for accurate shipment to local offices
  • Review project documentation, scopes of work, and configuration requirements to ensure proper setup
  • Troubleshoot programming or configuration issues and resolve discrepancies before shipment
  • Coordinate with project management and warehouse teams to support project timelines
  • Maintain accurate records of programmed devices, completed work, and configuration details
  • Ensure all equipment is prepared in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and project deadlines
  • Assist with inventory handling and staging of programmed equipment as needed
  • Support continuous improvement of warehouse programming processes, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Performs all work in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
