About The Position

The Serving Developer champions Eagle Brook’s volunteer culture, helping to create and measure volunteer structures, recruitment, onboarding, and development systems across all ministry areas. This role collaborates with the Ministry Systems Manager on utilizing the church management system for volunteer-related efforts and reports to the Senior Ministry Operations Director.

Requirements

  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s nine core beliefs.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Experience leading, equipping, and developing volunteers.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in web-based applications and database (Basecamp, Rock or similar).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in administration, business, education or ministry.
  • Experience working with volunteer programs and/or church staff.
  • Database expertise, including Community Church Builder.

Responsibilities

  • Develops tools, systems, and resources that define volunteer structures and role descriptions.
  • Assists ministry leaders with best practices for recruiting, onboarding, and developing volunteers.
  • Communicates standards for consistency in volunteer management.
  • Works cross-functionally to develop and manage the volunteer learning management system for onboarding and training volunteers.
  • Creates leadership and spiritual development resources for volunteer directors and team leads.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve volunteer development strategies and resources.
  • Develops strategies for campuses to recruit volunteers.
  • Creates and maintains serving-culture vision and resources for ministry teams.
  • Leverages church management system to track and measure outcomes of volunteer engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
