Services UI Localization - AI Workflow Specialist

AppleCupertino, CA
Onsite

About The Position

The Services UI Localization team at Apple is responsible for delivering localization across a wide range of products including App Store, Apple Music, TV App, Fitness+, Apple News, iCloud, Maps, Enterprise, and Identity Management Services. The team is actively transforming its operations through AI and is looking for an individual with deep expertise in AI and agentic workflows to serve as a center of gravity for the team. This role involves collaborating with UI Localization PMs to identify and build automation solutions that reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and enhance scalability. The position requires a blend of technical and collaborative skills, working closely with Strategy, AI/ML, and tooling organizations to ensure solutions are integrated into a broader platform. The primary output will be agents, automations, and process improvements that make project management and delivery faster, smarter, and more scalable.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in a technology or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered workflows and automation solutions in production or near-production environments.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with integrating frontier Large Language Models (e.g.: Gemini, Claude, GPT) leveraging modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g.: LangChain, LangGraph).
  • Experience designing and deploying AI services through APIs, automation platforms, or orchestration frameworks.
  • Strong ability to break down complex, ambiguous operational problems into structured steps an AI agent can execute.
  • Clear communicator — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical partners and operational problems into engineering requirements.
  • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills — able to build compelling executive narratives and demo AI solutions with clarity and confidence.
  • Experience driving cross-functional work through influence without formal authority.
  • Direct experience handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to be onsite; this role is an in-person, onsite position.
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Up to 6% travel is required annually, both domestic and international.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in software localization, internationalization, or globalization operations.
  • Prompt engineering experience, including structured prompting and iterative refinement.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns using OpenAPI and MCP to connect AI agents with business systems and API Gateways.
  • Experience building internal tools in collaboration with engineering or platform teams.
  • Ability to define and track KPIs demonstrating operational ROI from automation initiatives.
  • Experience evaluating reliability, observability, and governance considerations for autonomous AI workflows.
  • Familiarity with web development in Python: Django, Flask.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI agents, automated workflows, and integrations that reduce manual work for Localization PMs, covering status tracking, intake coordination, data processing, project scaffolding, and handoff automation.
  • Develop workflow orchestration systems with task routing, contextual decision-making, escalation handling, and automated reporting.
  • Establish robust evaluation frameworks to continuously monitor AI model performance, analyzing metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement, reduce bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Apply GenAI techniques including RAG, prompt engineering, and tool-use agents; evaluate and integrate LLMs suited to localization and PM workflows.
  • Write clean, documented, maintainable code; build for adoption, reliability, and scale.
  • Test against real operational conditions; measure impact and iterate.
  • Maintain a living portfolio of automation and process improvement opportunities — owning intake, prioritization, and sequencing.
  • Define success metrics before work begins; track and report impact after deployment; use data to guide what gets built next.
  • Establish lightweight governance to prevent duplication, surface blockers early, and ensure AI solutions operate within established security, confidentiality, and quality frameworks.
  • Work closely with Localization PMs to understand workflows, pain points, and priorities; translate those into concrete automation opportunities.
  • Actively support teammates who are building their own solutions — advising on methodology, tooling choices, and quality of execution; connecting efforts so the team builds cohesively.
  • Support PMs in adopting new tools into their day-to-day work.
  • Collaborate with Strategy, AI/ML, and engineering teams to align with broader platform standards and shared infrastructure.
  • Represent the team in cross-functional conversations with AI leads and partners as needed — bringing strong executive presence, sharp storytelling, and the ability to demo and narrate the team’s work in ways that build trust and visibility at every level.
