About The Position

Project Healthy Minds is a mental health nonprofit that operates like a tech startup, aiming to address the mental health crisis by making mental health services as accessible as booking travel. They are building the world's first digital marketplace for finding mental health services. This role involves researching and verifying details for local service listings to ensure accuracy and meet screening criteria set by their Clinical Advisory Committee. The goal is to grow their services directory as they expand to new locations.

Requirements

  • Experience in research where accuracy and citation were crucial (e.g., 211, resource directory, fact-checking, civic data team, library).
  • Comfortable contacting organizations and obtaining clear information.
  • Ability to follow written procedures closely and identify when they don't align with findings.
  • Organized with spreadsheets and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and verifying their output.
  • Empathy for individuals seeking help, often on difficult days.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Spanish or another language besides English.
  • Training in social work, counseling, or public health, or experience working in mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and complete service records, including address, hours, contact details, costs, and insurance information.
  • Label services against screening criteria, providing evidence for each classification.
  • Identify and list new services as the directory expands to new locations.
  • Note any service that does not fit the existing data model and explain the discrepancies.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate of $25 to $40, depending on experience.
