About The Position

As the Services Director, you will play a critical role in bringing this vision to life. In this leadership role, you will oversee regional services, teams, and external partners to drive person-centered outcomes for the individuals we support. You will ensure services are delivered effectively and aligned with identified goals by leveraging data, analyzing performance trends, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. You will lead multiple service locations, maintaining high-quality standards while ensuring individuals receive the support they need to thrive. Your ability to balance operational oversight with a commitment to person-centered care will be key to success. As a direct supervisor to Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers, you will provide coaching, accountability, and development to ensure strong performance and alignment with KenCrest’s mission. This position offers a flexible work environment, with the option to work from home or in an open office setting. However, it will require frequent travel to community homes and other external locations. Regular travel between work sites and within the community is mandatory. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with an on-call weekend rotation and flexibility for program emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human services or related field with six (6) years IDD residential management experience required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years IDD residential management experience required
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated knowledge of Connecticut DDS funding requirements and guidelines required
  • Valid and Current driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (required)
  • Driver's License, insurance and registration must be aligned with state of permanent residence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the PRC, HRC, and URR processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage medical and psychiatric crisis
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data to make informed decisions

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day operations across multiple locations and services, ensuring effective delivery of Residential, Community Participation, Meaningful Day, and Home & Community-based Programs.
  • Set the right competency priorities for managers, assistant managers, and staff, ensuring their training meets both regulatory and agency requirements.
  • Represent KenCrest at official provider meetings and stakeholder events, maintaining a strong presence in locations to monitor and ensure service quality.
  • Accountable for ongoing coaching and development of managers and staff, ensuring alignment with KenCrest's culture and values.
  • Establish and lead a collaborative, high-performing team with regional staff and shared support services, ensuring smooth information flow and effective decision-making.
  • Work with leadership and recruitment to develop and implement staff recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Responsible for managing program budgets, ensuring staff overtime is controlled, and expenses are monitored to stay within allocated budgets.
  • Ensure monthly billing, attendance submissions, and financial reconciliations, including credit card approval, are completed accurately and on time.
  • Utilize management tools to ensure compliance with agency processes and lead preparation for regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate on corrective action plans, track performance data, and monitor competency priorities to ensure success.
  • Track outcome goals and KPIs, capturing data to assess home, staff, and financial performance.
  • Assist in analyzing performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring data-driven decisions are made.
