About The Position

This role functions as an Operations leader for the services and contracting revenue streams, providing leadership for all activities with internal and external customers. The leader will lead the contracting operations team to execute projects after customer acquisition, including order validation, order entry, order follow up, customer inquiry, engineering, submittals, service operations, project management, technical support, warranties, claims, and resource allocations. The role involves developing and executing the overall strategy for the services and contracting organization, and is responsible for the overall contracting and service organization’s financial performance and associate engagement. The leader will be responsible for delivering business results and developing a high performing, highly engaged culture, as well as developing team leaders and coaching to establish required skill sets, talents, and capabilities. Maintaining customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff as needed is also a key function. The role requires collaboration across the Life Sciences organization to identify opportunities to improve customer experience and increase market share.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 8+ years experience in leadership roles in service and/or contracting operations
  • Commitment to building and leading a highly engaged team of operations professionals focused on customer experience, growth, and career advancement
  • Experience in transforming operations systems and processes to drive efficiency and improved customer experience
  • Solid financial acumen and business communications skills
  • Growth mindset to collaborate with the Life Science Solutions leadership team to establish and execute strategies to deliver profitable growth
  • Proven ability to provide strategic focus and prioritization to ensure team success.
  • Self-starter and connector/team player successful at maintaining high-level business relationships that produce high growth results-oriented teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong collaborator and effective communication driving aligned strategy and sales direction/priorities both internally and externally.
  • Able to develop and maintain Strong negotiation skills and business acumen: able to assert ideas and persuade end users, financial buyers, executive stakeholders in areas of price negotiations, contract terms, product configurations.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in leadership style and approach being open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles.
  • Detail oriented and acts with urgency.
  • Leads team leveraging analytical acumen and data intelligence to accurately assess and adjust sales priorities, compensation considerations, and levers to clearly articulate strategic direction for sales teams to achieve quarterly goals.
