Xcel Energy is seeking to fill one or more Apprentice positions in the Gas Utilization Section at the White Bear Lake Service Center in White Bear Lake, MN. Requirements
- Have a valid driver's license and keep the license while in the Apprenticeship Program and going forth.
- Have a good understanding of Pressure Regulation and Metering.
- This position is subject to the D.O.T. RSPA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
- Be organized and task oriented.
- Have teamwork, customer relations, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret distribution maps and design drawings.
- Perform pipe fitting.
- Become Operator Qualified through the Apprenticeship Program.
- Learn and use all computer applications.
- Respond to all types of Gas Emergencies involving Company facilities and public safety.
- Function independently under stress.
