MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a ServiceNow Developer Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following: Design, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide API, business rules, client scripts, and Flow Designer to meet specific business needs Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other internal or third-party systems (e.g., ERP systems, other enterprise applications) using REST, SOAP, APIs, and the ServiceNow Integration Hub Lead or support the implementation and optimization of core SPM modules, including Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Resource Management, and Financial Planning Configure financial aspects within projects and portfolios, such as cost plans, budgets, expense lines, labor costs, and financial baselines to track ROI and control costs Implement solutions for optimizing resource allocation, capacity planning, and managing timesheets, working closely with resource and portfolio managers Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, create architectural documentation, and mentor junior developers to ensure adherence to best practices Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams (IT, PMO, finance) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications Create and maintain detailed technical and functional documentation and support platform upgrade activities, including testing and reconfiguration. Contribute to IT-related technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement Create estimations on effort required to produce ServiceNow functionality Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, create architectural documentation, and mentor junior developers to ensure adherence to best practices Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications, while obtaining additional certifications WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The ServiceNow Developer Principal must have: ● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree ● Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow SPM modules (PPM, Demand, Resource, Financials, Agile Development)
  • Experience with other ServiceNow modules like ITSM or ITOM
  • Expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub
  • Proficiency with integration methods like SOAP, REST, and web services, including creating and consuming them
  • Strong scripting skills in JavaScript and GlideScript
  • Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective technical solutions
  • Excellent understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle, from smoke test to integration to production deployment
  • Ability to identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams
  • Ability to produce level of estimates and basic deployment plans for ServiceNow functionality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment
  • Ability to identify and learn new technologies quickly
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Ability to coach, guide, and mentor junior developers
  • Required: ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret or higher clearance
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities
