About The Position

The Service Writer / Advisor gathers information about warranties and provisions for service coverage also drafting orders for repairs to be done. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate documentation of vehicle repairs and maintenance services, adhering to safety policies, and managing parts inventory. The position operates in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources, requiring the candidate to understand the significant distance from advanced medical care and potential delays in medical evacuation due to weather conditions. Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year as a Service Advisor / Service Consultant or parts department experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AssetWorks Fleet & Asset Management software.
  • Warranty experience.
  • Alaskan Residents are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client with estimates in line with varying needs and expectations of cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Review repair orders for accuracy and ensure proper description of symptoms, problems, and causes are listed, as well as repairs and services performed based on what technicians submit are captured.
  • Consult with Shop Lead about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
  • Create, review and close work orders.
  • Entering repair orders into service database system.
  • Assist Shop Lead with needs for vehicle repairs and maintenance services, timelines, etc.
  • Timely and accurate documentation regarding each vehicle repair.
  • Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices.
  • Stock and inventory parts in shop.
  • Issue and bill parts from inventory.
  • Deliver parts to technicians.
  • Obtaining parts information.
  • Safely climb ladders of various heights.
  • Routinely operate Worley/ client light and medium duty vehicles.
  • Other fleet support duties as assigned
