About The Position

The Service Writer role involves assisting the Service Manager with various administrative duties, including managing warranty claims, payroll input, and report preparation. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with proficiency in computerized shop management systems and Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in Equipment/Auto Parts Sales and Service
  • Experience in computerized shop management systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Highly proficient time management skills
  • Strong computer skills including Excel

Responsibilities

  • Assist Service Manager in administrative duties
  • Submit warranty claims in OEM portal
  • Input Technicians payroll hours into payroll system daily
  • Input Technicians labor punches and Technician notes into business system daily
  • Input Technician hours into commission calculator and transmit to HR monthly
  • Submit Part returns as required
  • Prepare monthly reports and perform other shop administrative duties
  • Submitting & reviewing all warranty claims prior to submission for all branches
  • Warranty reconciliations
  • Approving internal warranties
  • Submitting quality requests
