About The Position

Vermeer All Roads in Ashland, VA is searching for a Service Writer to join their growing team. This role acts as the first point of contact for the service department and customers. The Service Writer will coordinate repairs, communicate timelines, and ensure a first-class customer experience. Prior service advisor experience is required; a heavy equipment or heavy-duty background is preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous service writing/advisor experience required
• Strong customer service, multitasking, prioritization, and efficiency skills

Nice To Haves

• Heavy-duty or heavy-equipment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and act as liaison between customers and the dealership
• Schedule service appointments and prepare accurate estimates
• Advise customers on maintenance based on manufacturer specifications
• Create, update, and document repair and work orders
• Maintain strong customer relationships to drive retention and referrals
• Proactively update customers on repair status, estimate changes, and pickup timing
• Perform other duties as assigned
