About The Position

Sun State International Trucks is currently seeking a Service Writer for our dealership in Tampa, Florida. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing repair orders while providing excellent customer service. Sun State International Trucks is a locally owned dealership retailing International brand trucks with 5 locations throughout Florida. We sell both new and used trucks and trailers. We are an authorized dealer of IC Bus, Hyundai Translead trailers, and Globe trailers. We also provide parts and service for heavy-duty trucks of all brands.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2+ years of Service Advisory Experience
• 2+ years of Customer Service Experience
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Effective Communication Skills; both written and verbal
• Intermediate computer skills; including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time with little supervision
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of Heavy-Duty Truck Service Experience

Responsibilities

• Listen to and evaluate customer needs
• Create and maintain Repair Orders
• Assign workflow to the proper technician
• Motivate technicians to maintain efficient production
• Ensure proper warranty coding of work orders
• Review Work-In-Progress daily
• Coordinate with Parts Department
