About The Position

Ditch Witch West, the premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is looking for a Service Writer to join their team. The Service Writer ensures all service department work orders are opened, maintained, proofed, and closed efficiently, while providing an excellent customer experience. This role involves scheduling field service calls, coordinating shop workflow, checking in equipment for repair, taking parts calls, pulling customer orders, and assisting in inventory control. The Service Writer will also collaborate with sales and parts departments, as well as other branch locations, to ensure clear communication and efficient operations.

Requirements

Familiarity with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to learn new computer programs.
Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

Open, maintain, proof, and close all service department work orders efficiently.
Enter and review service and warranty work orders.
Schedule field service calls.
Coordinate shop workflow.
Check in equipment for repair.
Take parts calls.
Pull customer orders.
Assist in inventory control.
Work closely with sales and parts departments, as well as other branch locations, to ensure clear communication, efficient operations, and outstanding customer support.
