Requirements

  • 2 years of industry experience
  • Outstanding leadership, influence and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple operations
  • High integrity

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical engineering degree preferred, or relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Coach and support area of responsibility
  • Daily communication and coordination with teams, other supervisors, and departments.
  • Direct work assignments in accordance with the production schedule
  • Plans and organizes activities of the production/assembly line to meet production deadlines.
  • Monitor housekeeping (5 pillars) with emphasis on 5s.
  • Participate in VIP to maximize production efficiency, improve technology, and correct safety issues.
  • Ensure compliance to environmental, productivity, quality and health & safety standards.
  • Prepare department budget including material, manpower, equipment and outside procurement costs, and operates within approved parameters.
  • Enforce policies and procedures and apply disciplinary action as needed
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and records- taking corrective action when necessary
  • Coordinate departmental maintenance and engineering needs
  • Responsible for inventory analysis
  • Work directly with department scheduler
  • Order and purchase necessary equipment or materials for assembly or production.
  • Responsible for development, preventative maintenance, and hands on troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
  • Owner of labor standards, process changes, equipment condition and related documentation
  • Communicate with supervisors from other departments to coordinate movement of service weld materials
  • Directs and guides technical team members in operations
  • Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect cost, operator safety, productivity and quality.
  • Oversees work cell development and material flow improvement.
  • Participate in PCI process
  • Process purchase requisitions and records as required
  • Maintain and continuously improve systems to catalogue tooling and track tooling usage
  • Other duties as assigned
