Service Warehouse Operator I - $22.10/hr
About The Position
This role is responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse, including receiving, organizing, packaging, storing, and shipping supplies, materials, equipment, and service inventory. The operator will maintain accurate inventory records, process orders, support shipments, and resolve discrepancies. This position also involves coordinating with various departments and external personnel to ensure smooth logistics and customer satisfaction. A key aspect of the role is supporting alternative product sourcing and maintaining detailed records of stock and inventory conditions. Participation in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives is expected, along with applying best practices to meet operational metrics.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed procedures and documentation.
- Effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, prioritize workload, and resolve routine operational issues using sound judgment.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of warehouse, receiving, shipping, logistics, or related operations experience.
- Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience supporting inventory management processes.
Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, package, store, and ship supplies, materials, equipment, and service inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor product movement and availability.
- Process material and product orders using warehouse and inventory systems.
- Support incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining warehouse organization and efficiency.
- Coordinate with distribution, sales, shipping, warehouse, and carrier personnel to resolve delivery issues and trace shipments.
- Investigate and resolve inventory, shipping, receiving, and customer service discrepancies.
- Support alternative product sourcing through loaner banks, other warehouses, and consignment inventory.
- Maintain records relating to stock usage, damage, handling equipment, and inventory condition.
- Participate in team meetings and support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply best practices to meet operational metrics and business objectives.
