About The Position

CRST is looking for a full-time Class 8 Diesel Service Truck Technician to join their team in Albany, OR. This role involves supporting the maintenance of Class 8 trucks and trailers, ensuring safety is a core focus to maximize business quality. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of maintaining and repairing Class 8 equipment, diagnosing technical issues efficiently, and performing equipment reviews. The technician will work with one of the industry's youngest fleets, including Freightliner Cascadias with Detroit Engines.

Requirements

Must successfully pass a CRST background check, drug screening, and MVR review (where applicable).
Must meet minimum tool requirements.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience, including Class 8 trailer experience and some tractor experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Valid Class C Driver’s License.
Self-starter with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties for a fleet of Class 8 tractors and trailers.
Complete trailer preventative maintenance services.
Operate Class 8 vehicles and fleet equipment safely around the yard.
Identify and diagnose vehicle maintenance issues and perform repair services.
Maintain written repair orders and updated maintenance reference manuals.
Perform lot checks to verify equipment condition, identify potential out-of-service items, and confirm load status.
