This full-time Service Technician role, also referred to as Service Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of a 300-unit community meet both company standards and applicable laws. The individual will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, providing expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structure, and appliance repair. Key responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training new team members, mentoring them to increase their knowledge and skill set, managing maintenance materials inventory, and establishing various maintenance schedules. The role requires partnering with office staff to provide exceptional service to residents and being personally available for 24-hour on-call emergencies, including snow and ice events.
