The Service Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of component cable, category cable, fiber, wireless access points, cameras, access control devices, and other low voltage cabling and devices with or without direct onsite supervision. This role involves installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and visitor management systems. The technician will also be responsible for installing and maintaining access control devices, IP and analog video surveillance systems, and diagnosing hardware, software, network, and communication issues. Additionally, the role includes installing, terminating, testing, and certifying low-voltage cabling, configuring and troubleshooting network-connected security devices, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with software and firmware updates, documenting service activities, maintaining company vehicles and inventory, collaborating with customers and team members, observing safety policies, and participating in after-hours support and on-call rotations. A strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills is essential.
