About The Position

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems for commercial clients. By providing 24/7 service and adhering to safety standards, this position is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Trade/Technical/Business School required; completion of an apprenticeship in electrical work is preferred.
3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman or Master Electrician.
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician’s license and any required certifications for emergency electrical work.
Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, particularly in emergency situations.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to quickly diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various environments.
Comfortable working in a rapid growth environment and adapting to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

completion of an apprenticeship in electrical work is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responds promptly to emergency calls and service requests to address electrical issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime for customers.
Communicates effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members to ensure clear understanding of issues, timely completion of work, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Estimates material and labor costs for electrical projects and repairs, providing accurate quotes to customers and management.
Replaces or repairs faulty electrical components, including switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other related equipment.
Diagnoses electrical problems by identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions to restore functionality.
Tests electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, fixtures, and appliances, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Maintains accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and materials used, ensuring proper documentation for future reference and compliance.
Works collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate electrical work as part of larger projects or repairs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
