About The Position

Trek is hiring a part-time Service Technician for its Trek Store Clarendon. The technician cares for customers’ bikes by troubleshooting repairs and servicing a variety of bicycles. The role also provides opportunities to handle new models before they reach the sales floor and to build relationships with customers who rely on Trek to keep their equipment working properly. Prior mechanic experience is not required; training is available. The role is suited to someone with strong customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and motivation to develop as a technician.

Requirements

• Self-motivation, a positive and team-focused mentality, and willingness to help with any task.
• A warm, approachable manner, strong listening skills, and a drive to help customers, including during busy or difficult days.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and an interest in hands-on troubleshooting.
• Eagerness to learn bicycle servicing.
• Desire to continually learn proper service methods and new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot repairs and service a variety of bicycles.
• Build relationships with customers and help keep their bikes and equipment running properly.
• Learn and apply proper bicycle service methods and new technologies.
• Pitch in on tasks as needed.
