As an Automotive Technician at [STORE NAME], you will diagnose and repair [BRAND(S)] and other vehicles using manufacturer procedures and advanced diagnostic tools, perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure new vehicles meet dealership quality standards, and conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid exchanges, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections. You will also maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, provide accurate service recommendations to service advisors and customers, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum [X YEARS] of experience in a dealership or high-volume repair facility
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and reliability
  • Ability to lift up to [X lbs], bend, kneel, and work in various conditions

  • Technical training or college degree preferred
  • ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair [BRAND(S)] and other vehicles using manufacturer procedures and advanced diagnostic tools
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure new vehicles meet dealership quality standards
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid exchanges, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Provide accurate service recommendations to service advisors and customers
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
  • Accurately diagnose vehicle issues using experience, tools, and [BRAND] manufacturer procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and multi-point inspections
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections for retail and new inventory vehicles
  • Maintain clean, safe workspaces and follow all shop safety standards
  • Complete accurate repair documentation and comply with dealership and manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers when needed
  • Assist with shop organization, parts inventory needs, and team support
  • Participate in required training sessions and service meetings
