About The Position

Continental Properties is looking for a motivated and empowered Service Technician to join their team of dedicated professionals at the Spring at Three Oaks residential apartment community in Crystal Lake, IL. The role involves providing above and beyond customer service and an unmatched level of personal attention to residents, addressing their service needs, and helping to maintain facility operations. The Service Technician will report to the Service Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Brings hands-on experience in maintenance, manual labor, or a related trade.
  • Flexible and reliable with a willingness to work overtime, on-call shifts, and non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays when the community needs you.
  • Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role—bending, lifting up to 100 lbs independently (up to 250 lbs with assistance).
  • Comfortable using technology like computers, tablets, and phones to stay connected and get the job done.
  • Pass a post-offer criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Take pride in the property's overall appearance by regularly walking the grounds to ensure top-notch curb appeal, while delivering outstanding customer service with a courteous, professional approach in every interaction.
  • Be a team player with a 'no task is too small' mindset, willing to do whatever it takes to keep the community looking great and residents happy.
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of maintenance needs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and more.
  • Maintain the overall appearance and safety of the property by performing grounds upkeep, pressure washing, painting, trash removal, and stepping in for additional needs like unit touch-ups and snow removal (in applicable states).
  • Use software and mobile apps daily to manage, track, and complete work orders and keep everything running efficiently.
